Days of Our Lives Recap | Week of Mar. 27

Days of Our Lives this last week was as lukewarm as the one before it, giving us just enough drama to tide us over to another week. Since the start of the year, I was worried about the state of the show and how it’s heading into its 50th anniversary but since then we’ve got new head writers, big casting returns and the announcement that good, heartfelt story worthy of the anniversary will begin in the summer and carry on through 2016. So basically we just have to survive through more of Melanie Jonas’ incessant snooping, ceramic elephants and young gay men turning into their mothers. Just five more months… But let’s check out what happened in Salem the week of March 27th!

General Hospital Recap | Week of Mar. 27

General Hospital was still very much building up to the climax of one of its long-running storylines, while others simply recapped a lot of things we already knew and remembered. It’s far too apparent that this last week was just to prop up the big reveal for the week to follow as it gave us just enough to keep the viewers teased but not enough to satisfy us. There were some stand outs among the doldrums of this last week in Port Charles, from the introduction to a new (technically) legacy character and the double release of havoc personified! Let’s check out what happened this last week on General Hospital!

General Hospital Recap | Week of Mar 20

General Hospital had a bit of a slow week this last week, which sometimes is warranted for a show with nearly seventy different characters all with crisscrossing storylines that come at you at a hundred miles an hour. Port Charles deserves a bit of a break. Most of the week was focused around building tensions between characters not so much on the actual moving along of many of the storylines which is important for development, but wasn’t really that interesting to me. Let’s check out a few of Port Charles’ highlights from last week!

Days of Our Lives Recap | Week of Mar 20

Days of Our Lives this past week delivered some long-awaited developments in the storylines that had a lot of viewers curious. Some of these plot developments worked well while others only proceeded to give fans even more questions. All in all, it was a watchable week that propped up some of its stronger and weaker mysteries, one that was definitely bearable after a few weeks of dragging stories. Let’s check out what happened last time in Salem!

General Hospital Recap | Week of Mar. 2

General Hospital tapped right back into that same emotional vein from last week, giving us a good amount of family drama with Ava Jerome’s memorial service as well as giving us laughter in the form of Franco and Nina Reeves’ comedic plays. These strong storylines were on the front burner this week so the week passed by smoothly, showing that there doesn’t always have to be bullets flying to keep things exciting in Port Charles. Let’s check out what went down last week!

Days of Our Lives Recap | Week of Mar. 2

Days of Our Lives this last week was once again steady! By no means was it fully captivating considering there was still too much time devoted to an elephant statue, Daniel Jonas unjustly receiving love from Nicole Walker and Jordan Ridgeway in general, but there were some standouts worthy of applause and not the fast forward button. Thankfully it’s not all bad lately as there’s been good use of veterans, old soap tropes and romance but with the first quarter of the 50th Anniversary year nearly over and with no big storylines in sight, I’m not sure how much longer we can keep optimistic. The new head writers couldn’t come to Salem, USA’s rescue any quicker! Let’s check out what went down last week there!

Days of Our Lives Recap | Week of Feb. 23

Days of Our Lives is in good shape again! Can they keep it up? We can only hope so after they had a dismal few weeks in the ratings. The stories seem to be moving again and at a clear pace. There are still really only two strong tales on the front burner now, but if they’re given enough visibility on our screens, this could turn out to be an exciting few months until the head writer changeover in the summer. There’s nothing like a gay love triangle and a naughty age-inappropriate affair to get the ball rolling again in Salem! Let’s check it out!
